"Anthropomorphic" Concept Art Challenge Underway!

Lately, I've been engaged in a series of concept art challenges with a great artist friend of mine, Bryan "Kaiser" Tillman. This month challenge, an anthropomorphic character. I've designed this half-zebra, half renegade-man cop. I'm working on the environment now, but the character is pretty fleshed out.

There much more of this fun concept art challenge goodness yet to come! If interested, I post many progress shots of these concepts in development over at my Instagram Page:

"Zombies!" Concept Character Challenge

Recently, I've been competing with a friend in a series of concept art challenges. Our first challenge was "zombies". These were the first pieces I completed on my iPad Pro. I really enjoyed creating these - the Apple Pencil feels very natural and fluid. The challenge consisted of 2 headshots, 1 full body pose and an environment. Thanks for checking it out!

Created in Procreate 3 app. This is a concept art challenge I'm currently doing with a friend of mine. Zombies are a little out of the ordinary for me, but this is good growth material. Thanks for checking it out!

New Dejah Thoris Process Painting Video!

Hi Everyone, I've added my first ever Youtube process video for my latest Dejah Thoris painting. This was the second piece that I completed on my iPad Pro. I'm pretty amazed at the results I can get in the Procreate App. In many ways the whole process feels much more natural than painting on a Cintiq. There isn't any of the "parallax" gap you experience working on Wacom's product. Thanks for checking it out!

Process painting, start to finish on the iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. No Photoshop adjustments involved in the painting, fully painted in Procreate 3. If you have any questions about process, let me know. I am happy to help.
